About the Clerk-Treasurer

The Clerk/Treasurer, Lynette Strecker, was appointed as Treasurer for the City in 2002 and recently became Clerk/Treasurer in January of 2013.

Lynette manages the overall administrative functions of the City acting as custodian of all moneys and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and guidelines. She manages the city-wide accounting records and oversees:

  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Purchasing
  • Utility Billing

She acts as budget officer and grant administrator.

Deputy City Clerk

Silvia Anaya, joined the City in 2012 as a Senior Accounting/Utility Clerk, was promoted to Deputy Treasurer in 2013 and then promoted to Deputy City Clerk in May of 2017.

Silvia manages the day to day operations of Utility Billing and Metering, and liquor licensing. She is responsible for recording, publishing, and filing:

  • Meeting minutes
  • Ordinances
  • Resolutions

She also prepares and distributes agendas for council meetings.

Deputy Treasurer

Dodi Triplett, joined the City in 2015 as a Senior Accounting Clerk and was promoted to Deputy Treasurer in May of 2017.

Dodi is the payroll and benefit administrator and assists with grant management.

Lynette, Silvia and Dodi strive to provide the best quality service to the citizens of Torrington and City staff.
