Elected in 2022, Shane Viktorin is the youngest member of the Torrington City Council. This is his first term on the Council and first time experience in public elected office.
Born and raised in Torrington, Viktorin is a product of the community having graduated from Torrington High in 2009. He attended Eastern Wyoming College and obtained an Associate of Art’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2011 and finished his undergraduate studies in Communication at the University of Wyoming in 2013.
Viktorin is involved in numerous agriculture organizations within the community. Outside of his duties as Councilman, he is also a fourth generation small businessman, operating his family’s agriculture business on the west highway. Viktorin serves the Goshen County Fair Board as Swine Barn Superintendent during the county fair and also serves on the Goshen County Junior Livestock Sale Committee.
As Councilman, Viktorin’s committee assignments include the Municipal Airport and Industrial Business Park as well as the Joint County/City Information Technology committees.
